South 24-PGS Tiger will take on Nadia Super Dazzler in the first semifinal of the Inter District Senior Men's T20 Open Tournament after the both teams registered comfortable victories in their respective quarterfinal matches on Saturday.
In the first quarterfinal, South 24-PGS Tiger beat North 24-PGS Champs by 4 runs. Toufik Uddin Mondal scored a fine 59 off 25 balls while Sandipan Dey bagged 3 for 31, also scoring crucial 39. Toufik also bagged 1 for 20.
Batting first, South 24-PGS Tiger scored 166/7 in 20 overs. In reply, North 24-PGS Champs scored 162/7 in 20 overs. Raju Halder bagged 3 for 16 for North 24-PGS.
In the second quarterfinal, Nadia Super Dazzler beat Gour Badsha Malda by 9 wickets. Rajkumar Pal (4-4) and Shiladitya (3-4) impressed with the ball while Arnab Sikder scored a fine 35.
Batting first, Gour Badsha Malda were bundled out for 45 in 13.3 overs. In reply, Nadia Super Dazzler chased it down scoring 46/1 in 4 overs.
