Sudip, Shuvam hit half-centuries as Bengal
vs Kerala Ranji match ends in draw

In-form Bengal opener Sudip Chatterjee (57) and debutant Shuvam Dey (67) hit half-centuries each as their Ranji Trophy match against Kerala ended in a draw at the JU 2nd Campus Ground, Salt Lake on Tuesday.
Bengal and Kerala bagged a point each from the match as the home side’s first innings remained unfinished on the final day. After three matches, Bengal have five points in their bag.
"Ishan (Porel) was superb with the ball. He was outstanding. Shuvam was brilliant as well. Sudip as usual is in great form in the tournament. We now shift focus to the next matches and remain positive," Bengal head coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla said.
At the end of the final day, Bengal were 181/3 in their first innings.
In his 102-ball innings, Sudip struck 9 boundaries while Shuvam hit seven fours and one six in his 113-ball knock.
Skipper Anustup Majumdar (21) and Sudip Kumar Gharami (31) remained unbeaten for Bengal.
Ishan Porel, who was awarded the player of the match, bagged an impressive 6 for 103 as Kerala scored 356/9 decl. in their first innings.
Salman Nizar (95 not out) and Mohammed Azharuddeen (84) were the pick of the batsmen for Kerala.
