Riding on brilliant batting performances by skipper Prayas Ray Barman (153) and Rahul Prasad (101), Bengal Under-23 team were in total control against Rajasthan at the end of third day in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy in Jaipur.
After bowling out Rajasthan for 276 in their first innings, Bengal managed to score 352 to grab a vital 76-run first innings lead on Tuesday.
In his 247-ball knock, Prayas hit 20 boundaries while Rahul struck 11 fours and three sixes in his 241-ball innings. Ravi Kumar also chipped in with a fine unbeaten 29.
At stumps on Day 3, Rajasthan were 48/4 in their second innings, still trailing by 28 runs.
Bengal's Harsh Dev Gautam, who was superb with the ball bagging 3 for 7, gave Bengal hope of a win on the final day.
