Inauguration of Jagmohan Dalmiya Indoor Cricket Coaching Centre in Murshidabad

India cricket legend and former BCCI & CAB President Sourav Ganguly along with former CAB Joint Secretary and Treasurer Biswarup Dey inaugurated the Jagmohan Dalmiya Indoor Cricket Coaching Centre at the Murshidabad District Sports Association in Murshidabad on Thursday.
Mr Ganguly and Mr Dey, besides inaugurating the state-of-the-art indoor facilities along with a new bowling machine, shared valuable and inspirational words with the budding cricketers present for the occasion.
“I am very happy to be present here in Murshidabad for the inauguration of the Jagmohan Dalmiya Indoor Cricket Coaching Centre. I would like to thank everyone present here. The plan to build indoor facilities at different districts came when I was the CAB President. Then I went on to become the BCCI President. Now, I am thrilled to see that indoor facilities being build in other districts and now in Murshidabad. These facilities are for the budding cricketers, which they can use it well,” Mr Ganguly said.
Mr Ganguly further added saying, “The improvement of cricket at the district level started at the time when Mr Dey was at CAB as the Joint Secretary and Treasurer. He gave a lot of importance to district level cricket, which is now yielding results.”
Mr Dey during his speech heaped praise on Mr Ganguly and wished that more cricketers would be born from Murshidabad in the future.
“I would like to thank everyone present here. Every budding cricketers present here would dream of becoming a player like Sourav Ganguly. Mr Ganguly has taken cricket to a different level at world stage. The facilities here are wonderful and I hope it will grow higher with time and new cricketers will be born from this district. Our main aim must be to see how we can bring forward more cricketers,” Mr Dey said.
Also present for the inauguration were Mr. Sanjay Das, Chairman, CAB Junior Cricket Committee; Mr. Asish Chakrabarty, Chairman, CAB District Coaching Committee; Mr. Goutam Goswami, Chairman, CAB District Committee; Mr. Srimanta Mallik, Chairman, CAB Observer Committee; Mr. Rajarshi Mitra, IAS, District Magistrate, Murshidabad & President of Murshidabad District Sports Association and other CAB Officials & CAB District Representatives.
