Shahbaz shines for Bengal on Day 2 against UP in Ranji Trophy

Shahbaz Ahmed and Md Kaif were the pick of the bowlers for Bengal on Day 2 against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday.
At stumps on the second day, UP were 198/3 in response to Bengal's first innings total of 311.
Shahbaz (2-47) and Md Kaif (1-23) impressed for Bengal.
For UP, skipper Aryan Jurel (90 not out) and Siddharth Yadav (20 not out) remained unbeaten at the crease, with the team still trailing by 113 runs.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 269/7, Bengal managed to add 42 runs in the morning.
Shahbaz played a handy knock of 44 along with Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (15).
For UP, Vipraj Nigam and Yash Dayal bagged four wickets each.
