Dominant Bengal U-19 Women win four
matches on the trot in T20 meet

Bengal Under-19 Women’s team has been in sublime form in the ongoing Women’s U-19 T20 Trophy. Riding on dominant performances, the young team outclassed Jharkhand by 22 runs in Chandigarh on Sunday to register their fourth straight victory of the tournament.
With four wins from four, Bengal are on top of Group E with 16 points.
On Sunday, Bengal displayed a superb bowling effort to down Jharkhand. Batting first, Bengal managed to post 98/9 in 20 overs. Ipsita Mondal top-scored with a fighting unbeaten 44 off 54 balls, smashing 4 boundaries and 1 six.
In reply, chasing the target, Jharkhand batters found the going tough against a quality Bengal bowling attack. After losing wickets at regular intervals, Jharkhand fell short, posting only 76/9 in 20 overs.
Bidisha Dey (2-7), Monika Mal (2-17) and Prativa Mandi (1-18) were brilliant with the ball for Bengal.
Earlier, Bengal started their campaign with a 11-run victory over Uttar Pradesh in their first match on October 1. The next day, Bengal bagged their second win, beating Tripura by a massive seven wickets.
In their third match on October 4, Bengal defeated Rajasthan by a 51 runs to extend the unbeaten run in the tournament.
