CAB President Snehashish Ganguly motivates Bengal team ahead of Ranji campaign

Ahead of Bengal team’s departure for their first Ranji Trophy game this season, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly met the entire squad at the Eden Gardens for an interactive session, motivated them with inspirational words and wished all the players the best for the all-important tournament.
CAB President Ganguly along with Hony Joint Secretary Debabrata Das, during the interactive session on Saturday, discussed the strengths of the team and told the players to see the tournament as a new beginning.
Mr Ganguly also urged the team to give their best on the field and play with a spirited mindset.
“At first, I would like to wish the team the best for the Ranji season. Our preparations have been good. We are a strong team and we know our strengths well. I want all the players to take this tournament as a fresh beginning, play with a free and spirited mindset and give your best on the field,” Mr Ganguly said.
Team’s head coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla and captain Anustup Majumdar also interacted with the players and had a detailed interaction about the forthcoming tournament.
Head coach Shukla said he was happy with the team’s preparations and training, adding that this will surely help the team when they come up against quality oppositions.
“We have done our preparations well. We know our strengths and have worked on our weaknesses as well. I am hopeful we as a team will give our best on the field starting with the match against UP,” head coach Shukla said.
Skipper Anustup thanked CAB President Ganguly, saying he was honoured to take up the responsibility of leading the team.
“I am honoured to have been given the responsibility to lead the team. I will live up to the expectations and I hope my team will give their best in the upcoming matches. I want my team to play freely, without any pressure and to bring their A game on the field,” Anustup said.
Bengal team will begin their Ranji Trophy Elite Group C campaign against Uttar Pradesh from October 11 in Lucknow.
Senior players Wriddhiman Saha, Sudip Chatterjee and Shahbaz Ahmed also shared their experience during the interactive session.
After playing against UP, Bengal will return home to take on Bihar at the Eden Gardens from October 18.
