Sourashish excited for bowling coach role
in Duleep Trophy, 4 Bengal players selected

Bengal Under-19 team head coach Sourashish Lahiri is looking forward to his new challenge as the bowling coach of Team B in the Duleep Trophy, while four players from Bengal have also been selected for the forthcoming domestic tournament.
Four players from Bengal, star opener Abhimanyu Easwaran, fast bowlers Akash Deep, Mukesh Kumar, and young, talented wicketkeeper-batsman Abishek Porel has been named in the four-team tournament.
Sourashish, who is the bowling coach of Team B, has Bengal star opener Easwaran as the skipper of the side. The team also has star India players Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohd Siraj and Bengal pacer Mukesh.
Akash Deep has been named in the Team A while Abishek is selected in Team C.
"I am really looking forward to this new challenge. It is also a learning experience for me to be able to coach these star India players. Every day and every assignment is a big learning process. I will aim to gather as much experience as possible," Sourashish said.
"The format of Duleep Trophy this year is a competitive one. It will help the players to prove themselves ahead of the long season and Test matches coming up. I also hope our four Bengal players will give their best and perform well to grab the attention of the selectors," the Bengal legend added.
The Duleep Trophy, which marks the beginning of red-ball cricket in the domestic season, will see some of the finest players from the international circuit and some of the young and emerging talent compete at the highest level.
The tournament is set to begin from September 5 in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru.
