Game on for Shukla

Laxmi Ratan Shukla announced that he will be reengaging himself with cricket, as the former Bengal captain signed a contract with Salkia Friends Club earlier today at the Club House premises Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The Minister for State for Sports was active in his political career for sometime.
Following his announcement today everyone's curiosity was how he will balance cricket and politics was satisfied when he said "I am thankful to our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for motivating me and asking me to keep engaged with the game. I have always loved the game and despite all other responsibilities I have at present, I will play for my team".
His performance bears testimony to the fact that that he has had a successful career so far. However, deriving motivation to get on with the game after so long is a bold decision. "If you know me you know that cricket has been the biggest motivation in my life so far and nothing can beat that. It is for the love of cricket and the love for fans that I am reengaging myself with the game".
"My best wishes for Dinda (Ashok Dinda), Manoj (Manoj Tiwari), Wriddhi (Wriddhimaan Saha) and Abhimanyu (Abhimanyu Eshwaran) who have been selected for Duleep Trophy. This is a great opportunity for the players from Bengal. We feel happy when cricketers from the state make us proud and we will always be in their support" he added upon asked about his expectations form the present Bengal squad.
