Sobisco Smashers Malda win, seal top
spot in Bengal Pro T20 League

A dominant batting effort helped Sobisco Smashers Malda outclass Servotech Siliguri Strikers by 6 wickets at the Eden Gardens on Monday to seal the top spot in the Bengal Pro T20 League.
With six wins from seven league games, Sobisco Smashers Malda, who have already qualified for the semifinals, seal the top spot in the points table with 12 points. While Servotech Siliguri Strikers (4 points from seven games) are knocked out of semis race.
Earlier, batting first, Servotech Siliguri Strikers managed to post a challenging 188/6 in 20 overs. Tarun Godara smashed a brilliant unbeaten 70 off 39 balls. Vikas (30 off 15) also impressed with the bat.
For Sobisco Smashers Malda, Geet Puri and Writtick Chatterjee bagged two wickets each.
In reply, chasing the target, Writtick (59 off 37), Akhil (56 off 31) and Jayojit Basu (38 off 22) batted superbly as Sobisco Smashers Malda went over the line, scoring 191/4 in 19.4 overs.
