Tigers win in Women’s Bengal Pro T20 League

Riding on a brilliant all-round show, Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers outclassed Shrachi Rarh Tigers by nine wickets in the Women’s Bengal Pro T20 League at the Jadavpur University Salt Lake Campus on Saturday.
With win, Kolkata Tigers climb to third spot with seven points from six games, having won three. On the other hand, Rarh Tigers are in second spot with eight points with four wins.
Tithi Das (57 not out off 49), skipper Mita Paul (34 off 29), Priyosi Aich (2-13) were the star performers for Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers.
Batting first, Shrachi Rarh Tigers managed only 100/4 in 20 overs. Parana Paul (21) top-scored for her side.
In reply, chasing the target, Mita and Tithi got Kolkata Tigers off to a flying start. The duo added 82 runs for the opening wicket to take team closer to victory. After Mita’s dismissal, Tithi ensured team got over the line, scoring 104/1 in 14.4 overs.
