Smashers Malda to big win in Bengal Pro T20 League

Riding on a dominant all-round effort, Sobisco Smashers Malda outclassed Murshidabad Kings by 9 wickets in the Bengal Pro T20 League at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
Writtick Chatterjee (78 not out off 51), Ranjot Singh Khaira (57 not out off 42), Mukesh Kumar (3-34), Akhil (2-23) and Geet Puri (2-24) were the star performers for Sobisco Smashers Malda.
Enroute his match-winning innings, Writtick struck seven boundaries and five sixes while Ranjot hit seven fours and one six.
Batting first, Murshidabad Kings posted 148/8 in 20 overs, thanks to Aditya Purohit (40) and Shuvam Dey (33).
In reply, despite losing opener Jayojit Basu (8) early, Writtick partnering with Ranjot added an unbeaten 132-run partnership for the second wicket as Sobisco Smashers Malda went over the line comfortably, scoring 149/1 in 16.2 overs.
