Malda to big win in Bengal Pro T20 League

A brilliant bowling performance powered Sobisco Smashers Malda to a dominant 36-run victory over Adamas Howrah Warriors in the Bengal Pro T20 League at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Skipper Mukesh Kumar (4-9) led from the front with an outstanding bowling effort while Akhil (3-14) and Geet Puri (2-18) also impressed.
Batting first, Sobisco Smashers Malda posted 122 in 19.5 overs.
Writtick Chatterjee top-scored with a fine 30 off 24 with three boundaries and one six Writam Porel also chipped in with a handy 24.
For Adamas Howrah Warriors, Soumyadip Mandal, Aamir Gani and Saksham Chaudhary bagged two wickets each.
In reply, chasing the target, Adamas Howrah Warriors lost wickets at regular intervals as Mukesh-Akhil combo ripped apart Warriors' batting line-up to bundle them out for just 86 in 17.5 overs.
