Bhawanipore take massive lead against Md. Sporting in CAB 1st Div meet final

A fine bowling effort helped Bhawanipore Club take the all-important first innings lead against Mohammedan Sporting Club at the end of the fourth day's play in the final of CAB First Division Championship at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.
After posting a challenging 479/9 decl. in their first innings, Bhawanipore Club bowled out Md. Sporting for 209 to take the crucial first innings lead.
For Bhawanipore Club, Deepak Kumar (4-50), Pradipta Pramanik (3-38) and Ravi Kumar (2-65) were superb with the ball.
Ravikanth Shukla top-scored with a fighting 78 while Jayojit Basu also chipped in with a handy 47 for Md. Sporting.
In their second innings, Bhawanipore were 115/3 at stumps on Day 4, with a massive lead of 385 runs.
Vivek Singh remained unbeaten on 41.
