Arindam (134), Easwaran (115) power Bhawanipore
to 479/9 decl. in CAB 1st Div meet final

Riding on brilliant centuries each by Arindam Ghosh (134) and Abhimanyu Easwaran (115), Bhawanipore Club managed to post a challenging 479/9 decl. in the first innings against Mohammedan Sporting Club on Day 2 in the final of CAB First Division Championship at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
Enroute his ton, Arindam smashed 12 boundaries and 3 sixes.
On the other hand, Easwaran, who left the field retired hurt on Day 1 after suffering an injury, returned on the second day to struck a brilliant century. The experienced right-handed batter hit 12 fours and 2 sixes in his superbly crafted 190-ball innings.
For Md. Sporting, Vikas bagged four wickets while Nitin Verma and Vaibhav Yadav claimed two each.
In reply, Md. Sporting were 8 for no loss in their first innings at stumps on the second day.
