Mohun Bagan enter final of J.C Mukherjee T20 meet

Mohun Bagan defeated Calcutta Custom Club by 5 wickets in the semifinal match to seal a place in the final of the J.C Mukherjee Memorial Trophy T20 tournament on Saturday.
Batting first, Samik Karmakar scored a fine 94 as Calcutta Custom Club posted 184/4 in 20 overs. For Mohun Bagan, Md Kounain Quraishi, Ishan Porel, Sayan Ghosh and Toufik bagged a wicket each.
In reply, chasing the target, Mohun Bagan went over the line comfortably, scoring 185/5, thanks to Suvankar Bal (49 not out), Sudip Kumar Gharami (39). For Calcutta Custom, Abishek Tamang bagged two wickets.
In the other pre-quarterfinal match, Kalighat Club beat Aikya Sammilani by seven wickets to make their way into the quarterfinals. Batting first, Aikya Sammilani posted 152 in 19 overs, thanks to Swapnadeep Dey (51).
For Kalighat, Aritra Chatterjee (5-31) was superb with the ball. In reply, Kalighat chased the target down scoring 153/3 in 15.5 overs. Abhishek Raman scored a fine 47.
