Vaibhav bags 8 as Md. Sporting enter semifinals of 1st Div Qualifier meet

Ravikanth Shukla (161) and Vikas (104) smashed brilliant centuries each while Vaibhav Yadav (8-70) was superb with the ball as Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Calcutta Custom Club by 65 runs in the quarterfinal to make their way into the semifinals of the First Division Qualifier and Championship on Sunday.
Batting first, Mohammedan Sporting Club posted 385. For Calcutta Custom Club, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal bagged 5 for 128. In reply, Calcutta Custom Club were bowled out for 320. Sayan Kumar Biswas (82) top-scored for Calcutta Custom.
In the second match, Shubham Chatterjee (163 not out), Writam Porel (108) scored centuries each while Ravi Kant Singh (4-43) and Kaushik Maity (3-83) were impressive with the ball as Kalighat beat Town Club by a massive 290 runs.
Batting first, Kalighat posted a massive 522/6. For Town Club, Sujit Kumar Yadav bagged 3 wickets. In reply, Town Club were bowled out for 232.
