Sayan bags 6 as Vijay Sports Club enter quarterfinals of 2nd Div Qualifier & Championship match

Sayan Paul (6-96) was superb with the ball while Arsh Yadav (63) also impressed as Vijay Sports Club beat Bantra Cricket Club via spin of coin after the match was tied on Day 2 in the pre-quarterfinal clash to make their way into the quarterfinals of the Second Division Qualifier and Championship Two-Day match on Saturday.
In other matches, Pushpak Kumar Poddar (6-27) was superb with the ball while Sachin Sharma (57) and Pabitra Bera (56) also impressed as Howrah Sporting Club beat Bata Sporting Club by 149 runs. Ansh Poddar (6-75) and Shreeyesh Shrivastava (4-45) were excellent with the ball for Bata Sporting.
Soumya Ghosh smashed a brilliant 125 while Suman Dey (5-112) impressed with the ball as Cricket Club of Bhawanipore beat South Suburban Club by 74 runs. Pratik Dutta top-scored for South Suburban with 64.
Mithun Dutta (101 not out), Dipak Prasad (87), Amit Banerjee (5-90) and Monomit Mitra (3-99) helped Uttarpalli Milan Sangha beat George Telegraph by 189 runs. Gautam Verma top-scored for George Telegraph with 88.
