CAB Women's Club Cricket
League off to a rollicking start

The CAB Women’s Club Cricket League got off to a rollicking start with Aryan Club, Wari Athletic Club, Barisha Sporting Club and Mohammedan Sporting Club registering comfortable victories in their respective league matches on the opening day on Wednesday.
In the first match at the Town Ground, Susmita Ganguly (3-16) was superb with the ball while Payal Vakharia (38) and Kashish Agarwal (37) chipped in with useful runs as Aryan Club beat Rajasthan Club by 2 wickets.
Batting first, Rajasthan Club were bowled out for 148 in 38.3 overs. Jhumia Khatun scored 59. In reply, Aryan Club went over the line scoring 149/8 in 39.4 overs. Ananya Haldar bagged four wickets for Rajasthan Club.
In the second match, Sandipta Patra (4-26) was excellent with the ball while Preeti Mondal (32) also made useful contribution as Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Mohun Bagan Club by 9 runs. Rupal Tiwari (5-11) was impressive with the ball for Mohun Bagan.
Batting first, Md. Sporting were bundled out for 146. In reply, Mohun Bagan were bowled out for 137.
In the third match, Chandrima Ghosal (55), Hrishita Basu (43) were impressive with the bat while Sritama Nandi (3-19) and Trishita Sarkar (2-5) delivered with the ball to help Barisha Sporting Club beat Kalighat Club by 147 runs.
Batting first, Barisha posted 228/7 in 41 overs. In reply, Kalighat Club were bundled out for just 81.
In the fourth match, Ambika Guha (68), Prativa (56), were superb with the bat while Aradhya (4-5) and Diya Nandi (3-17) were impressive with the ball as Wari Athletic Club beat Bhawanipore Club by 134 runs.
Batting first, Wari Athletic Club posted 236/3. In reply, Bhawanipore Club were bowled out for 102.
