Bhawanipore, East Bengal, Mohun Bagan enter quarterfinals of 1st Div Qualifier meet

Bhawanipore Club, East Bengal Club, Mohun Bagan registered comfortable victories in their respective pre-quarterfinal matches to make their way into the quarterfinals of the First Division Qualifier and Championship on Saturday.
In the first match, Abhishek Das smashed a brilliant 129 while Shreyan Chakraborty (5-53) and Writtick Chatterjee (3-54) were superb with the ball as East Bengal Club beat Netaji Subhas Institute by 8 wickets.
In other matches, Arnab Nandi (6-29) was impressive with the ball while Ankur Paul scored a fine 83 as Mohun Bagan Club beat Ballygunge United Club by 9 wickets.
Vivek Singh (70), Abhimanyu Easwaran (65), Deepak Kumar (4-22) helped Bhawanipore Club beat Aryan Club by 10 wickets.
Priyank Patel (77), Agniv Pan (76), Lakshya Kochar (72) helped Barisha Sporting Club post 342/7 at stumps on Day 1. For Kidderpore Sporting Club, Saksham Sharma bagged three wickets.
