Mehroz bags 2, slams 109 as Bata Sporting Club win in 2nd Div Qualifier and Championship match

Mehroz Raza scored a brilliant match-winning 109 off 100 balls while Binay Jaiswal (99) and Shreeyesh Shrivastava (5-109) also impressed as Bata Sporting Club defeated International Club by 2 wickets on Day 2 in the Round One of the Second Division Qualifier and Championship match on Wednesday. Mehroz also picked two wickets.
In other matches, Priyankar Mukherjee scored a superb 132 while Monomit Mitra (5-64) delivered with the ball as Uttarpalli Milan Samity defeated Suburban Club by 350 runs. Amit Banerjee also bagged three wickets.
Shreyom Nandi (99), Pushpak Kumar Poddar (4-50) helped Howrah Sporting Club beat Aurora Athletic Association by 3 wickets. Abhijeet Prasad bagged four wickets for Aurora Athletic Association.
Arnab Bhattacharjee (52), Anubhab Chatterjee (5-57) and Supratim Saha (4-57) helped Bantra Cricket Club beat Baranagar Sporting Club by 2 wickets. Anurag Roy bagged four wickets while also scoring 54 for Baranagar.
Akash Mondal (86), Debarun Biswas (58), P Someswar Rao (4-60) and Arijit Mukherjee (3-73) helped Vijay Sporting Club beat Bengal Sporting Club by 6 wickets. Pabitra Seth (96) impressed for Bengal Sporting Club.
