Suman bags 9 for Cricket Club of Bhawanipore in 2nd Div Qualifier and Championship match

Suman Dey (9-37) was superb with the ball as Cricket Club of Bhawanipore beat Victoria Sporting Club by 5 wickets on Day 1 in the Round One of the Second Division Qualifier and Championship match on Tuesday. Koushik Guha scored 53 for Bhawanipore while Md Imtiaz Ali also chipped in with a fine 73 for Victoria Sporting.
In other matches, Priyankar Mukherjee scored a brilliant 132 while Dipak Prasad (59) and Sk Md Shahruk (52) also impressed as Uttarpalli Milan Samity scored 488/8 at stumps. Souradeep Ghosh bagged three wickets.
Manish Biswas (89), Sarit Dutta (4-51), Venkatesh Reddy (3-31) helped South Suburban Club beat Star Sporting Club by 7 wickets.
Bhupinder Singh (6-45) was brilliant with the ball as George Telegraph beat Jorabagan Club by 6 wickets.
Sidhant Khemka (82), Pushpendra Gupta (63) helped International Club post 359/9. Shreeyesh Shrivastava (5-109) was impressive with the ball for Bata Sporting Club.
Aurora Athletic Association managed to post 230, thanks to Pushpal Halder (46). For Howrah Sporting Club, Pushpak Kumar Poddar bagged 4 for 50. In reply, Howrah Sporting Club were 87/3 at stumps.
Anubhabh Chatterjee (5-57) and Supratim Saha (4-57) helped Bantra Cricket Club bundle out Baranagar Sporting Club for 269. Anurag Roy scored 54. In reply, Bantra Cricket Club were 18 for no loss at stumps.
Pabitra Seth (96) helped Bengal Sporting Club post 207. For Vijay Sports Club, P Someswar Rao bagged four wickets. In reply, Vijay Sports Club were 92/4 at stumps.
