Aditya slams unbeaten 179 for Md. Sporting Club in 1st Div Qualifier pre-quarterfinal match

Riding on a brilliant unbeaten 179 by Aditya Purohit, Mohammedan Sporting Club posted a challenging 402/3 at stumps on Day 1 against Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club in the First Division Qualifier pre-quarterfinal match on Monday. Vikas (97) and Gitimoy Basu (67) also impressed.
In other pre-quarterfinal matches, Sujit Kumar Yadav (6-7) was superb with the ball as Town Club defeated Sporting Union by 8 wickets. Batting first, Sporting Union were bundled out for just 63. In reply, Town Club went over the line comfortably, scoring 65/2.
Vikas Singh (6-48) was impressive with the ball as Kalighat bowled out Kolkata Union Sporting Club for 207. Adarsh Singhal top-scored with 61 runs. In reply, Kalighat were 14/1 at stumps.
Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (4-53) and Souvick Ghosh (3-32) were dominant with the ball as Calcutta Custom Club bowled out Aikya Sammilani for 152. Anas Ali Khan top-scored with 50 runs. In reply, Calcutta Custom Club were 121/1 at stumps, thanks to Sayan Kumar Biswas (60).
