Dominant Russell slams 64, bags 2 as KKR down Hyderabad at Eden Gardens

Jamaican superstar Andre Russell displayed an all-round performance as Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 runs to begin their Indian Premier League 2024 season on a winning note at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.
Russell smashed an unbeaten 64 off 25 balls followed by bagging an impressive 2 for 25.
Batting first, KKR managed to post 208/7 in 20 overs. Besides Russell, Phil Salt (54) and Ramandeep Singh (35) made useful contributions.
For Hyderabad, T Natrajan bagged 3 for 32.
Chasing the target, Hyderabad fell short, scoring 204/7 in 20 overs.
Heinrich Klaasen top-scored with a brilliant fighting 63 off 29 balls.
For KKR, Harshit Rana was the pick of the bowlers bagging 3 for 33.
