Salt, Rinku, Russell make it count at KKR practice match

Skipper Shreyas Iyer retured to T20 action while hard-hitting batters Phil Salt, Rinku Singh and Andre Russell looked in sublime touch as Kolkata Knight Riders played an inter-squad match at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Salt, who opened the batting, smashed a quickfire 74 off just 41 balls. Nitish Rana, too, looked good, scoring a fine 50 off 30 balls. Manish Pandey, too, were amongst the runs with a half-century.
Rinku, in his short innings, smashed sixes at ease while Russell also dominated the bowlers with power-packed maximums.
Varun Chakraborty bagged two wickets while Harshit Rana and Chetan Sakariya claimed one each.
