Sudip bags 5 as Victoria Sporting Club win in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Aamir Hussain scored a fine 166 while Sudip Talukder (5-57) and Sayantan Mahapatra (4-41) were impressive with the ball as Victoria Sporting Club beat Satya Sandhi by 278 runs in the CAB Second Division league-cum-knockout tournament on Tuesday. Batting first, Victoria Sporting Club posted 463. For Satya Sandhi, Raghav Sharma bagged 5 for 176. In reply, Satya Sandhi were bundled out for 185.
In other matches, riding on a superb 203 by Raja Khan and fine bowling by Debangan Mondal (3-98) and Debojyoti Chakraborty (3-102), Howrah Union beat Amature CC by 97 runs. Batting first, Howrah Union posted 413 For Amature CC, Abhishek Thakur was the pick of the bowlers bagging 2 for 20. In reply, Amature CC were bowled out for 316. Suprabhat Bhattacharjee scored a fine 72.
Rajesh Mondal (151) and Akshu Giri (147) slammed centuries each while Satyajit Dutta (4-79) and Meetul Sah (3-57) were impressive with the ball as Sarat Samity beat Bani Niketan Sporting Club by 129 runs. Batting first, Sarat Samity posted 372/9 at stumps. For Bani Niketan Sporting Club, Aditya Dutta bagged 5 for 94. In reply, despite a fine 99 by Dilip Singh, Bani Niketan Sporting Club were bowled out for 243.

Bantra Cricket Club bundled out Calcutta Rangers Club for 282 at stumps. Shreyas Dwibedi top-scored with 53. In reply, Bantra Cricket Club chased it down scoring 287/7.
Daya Shankar Goswami (118), Prasant Bhakat (4-52) and Shanu Qureshi (4-69) helped Abasar beat Friends Sporting Union by 99 runs. Batting first, Abasar posted 262. For Friends Sporting Union, Binoy Tirkey bagged 3 for 50. In reply, Friends Sporting Union were bundled out for 163.
