Ankit (5-60, 4-17) shines with the ball for
Barisha Sporting Club in CAB First Division League

Ankit Mishra (5-60, 4-17) was superb with the ball as Barisha Sporting Club were in a commanding position at the end of the second day against BNR Recreation Club in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Sunday.
Batting first, Chandrahas Dash (81) and Poonish Mehta (87) helped Barisha Sporting Club post 366 in their first innings. In reply, BNR Recreation Club were bowled out for 175, thanks to five-wicket haul by Ankit. Following on, BNR Recreation Club in their second innings were 36/4 at stumps still trailing by 155 runs, with Ankit claiming all the wickets.
In the second match, Suvankar Bal (157), Avilin Ghosh (101), Sudip Kumar Gharami (123) and S Yadav (99) helped Mohun Bagan Club post a mammoth 788/8 in their first innings. In reply, Paikpara Sporting Club were 212/5 at stumps. Agniva Mukhopadhyay (86 not out) and Sumit Nag (65) impressed. Rohit Kumar bagged 5 for 56 for Mohun Bagan.
In the third match, Sourav Paul scored a fine 134 as East Bengal Club posted 381 in their first innings. For Tapan Memorial Club, Ramesh Prasad bagged 5 wickets. In reply, Tapan Memorial Club were 191/6 at stumps. Ayush Das scored 87. Amrit Raj Upadhyay bagged 3 for 39.
In the fourth match, Kalighat Club posted 261 in their first innings. For Mohammedan Sporting Club, Nilkantha Das bagged 5 for 72. In reply, Mohammedan SC were bundled out for 156. Jayojit Basu scored 51. B Amit bagged 5 for 49 for Kalighat. While Kalighat in their second innings were 71/2 at stumps.
In the fifth match, Calcutta Custom Club managed to reach 277/8 in their first innings at stumps, thanks to Sayan Kumar Biswas (88) and Samik Karmakar (69). Md Kaif bagged 3 for 66. Earlier, Dilshad Khan (3-42) and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-59) were impressive with the ball as Calcutta Custom Club bundled out Town Club for 179 in their first innings.
