Mohun Bagan to 496/5 in CAB First Division League

Suvankar Bal (157), Avilin Ghosh (101) and Sudip Kumar Gharami (100) smashed brilliant centuries each to power Mohun Bagan Club to 496/5 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1 in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Saturday. For Paikpara Sporting Club, Viswajeet Mishra bagged 5 for 90.
In the second match, Sourav Paul scored a fine unbeaten 123 as East Bengal Club reached 322/6 in their first innings at stumps. For Tapan Memorial Club, Ankush Tyagi and Ramesh Prasad bagged two wickets each.
In the third match, Chandrahas Dash (81) and Poonish Mehta (64 not out) helped Barisha Sporting Club post 339/9 in their first innings at stumps. For BNR Recreation Club, Rahul Basfore and Narayan Rana bagged three wickets each.
In the fourth match, Shreyansh Ghosh (75) helped Kalighat Club post 223/5 in their first innings at stumps. For Mohammedan Sporting Club, Nilkantha Das bagged 2 for 54.
In the fifth match, Dilshad Khan (3-42) and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-59) were impressive with the ball as Calcutta Custom Club bundled out Town Club for 179 in their first innings. Naveed Ahmad top-scored with 67 runs. In reply, Calcutta Custom Club were 22/2 at stumps.
