South Zone emerge champions in CAB Inter Dist Women's U-14 One-Day meet

Riding on a superb all-round performance, South Zone outclassed West Zone by 6 wickets in the final clash to emerge champions in the CAB Inter District Women's Under-14 One-Day league-cum-knockout Tournament on Tuesday.
Batting first, West Zone managed to post 152/5 in 45 overs. Shreetama Mali scored a fine 61.
For South Zone, Ritu Gayen bagged 2 for 23 while Napisa Yasmin, Remondina Khatun and Nilanjana Barik claimed one each.
Chasing the target, South Zone got the job done, scoring 154/4 in 28.3 overs.
Sandipta Patra top-scored with unbeaten 43 while Neha Shaw (39 not out) also impressed.
For West Zone, Snigdha Bag bagged 2 for 37.
