Pushpendra bags 5 as International Club win in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Pushpendra Gupta (5-26) was superb with the ball as International Club beat City A.C by 225 runs on the second day in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Sunday. Batting first, Nayan Nandi (83), Sohail Ahmed Khan (71) and Sidhant Khemka (67) helped International Club post 368. In reply, City A.C were bundled out for 143.
In other matches, Masud Hasan Mallik (100), Sachin Rajak (93), Meetul Sah (67, 5-34), Om Kumar Das (4-8) and Lagan Kapoor (51) helped Sarat Samity beat Calcutta Rangers Club by 264 runs. Batting first, Sarat Samity posted 370/9. In reply, Calcutta Rangers Club were bundled out for 106.
Samadrito Biswas (101), Ankit Ojha (72), Vivek Prasad Mahato (70) and Md Nasir (4-29) helped Baranagar Sporting Club beat Central Calcutta Sporting by 291 runs. Batting first, Baranagar Sporting Club posted 396/7. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting were bundled out for 105.
Monu Mallick (101), Lalit Mohan Das (90) and Vaivhab Lahiri (3-24) and Atanu Debnath (3-28) helped Bengal Sporting Club beat Star Sporting Club by 195 runs. Batting first, Bengal Sporting Club posted 361/7. Madhav bagged 3 for 99. In reply, Star Sporting Club were bowled out for 166. Madhav scored a fine 71.
Sukriti Jana (83), Satadru Kundu (64, 3-74) and Sachin Sharma (64) helped Howrah Sporting Club beat Calcutta Parsse Club by 75 runs. Batting first, Howrah Sporting Club posted 310. Ankesh Kumar Roy bagged 4 for 89 while Agastya Agarwal and Bharadwaj claimed three each. In reply, Calcutta Parsse Club were bowled out for 235.
Vishal Bhati smashed a superb 225 off 150 balls while Rajarshi Biswas (136) and Abhay Kumar (5-72) also impressed as Salkia Friends Association beat Alipore Sporting Club by 208 runs. Batting first, Salkia Friends Association posted a massive 588/8 at stumps . For Alipore Sporting Club, Agastya Shukla bagged four wickets while Pritam Marjit claimed three. In reply, despite a fine 101 by Abhishek Rajbhar, Alipore Sporting Club were bowled out for 380.
Subarna Ghosh (97), Souradeep Ghosh (90), Niloy Saha (4-91) and Samaresh Maity (4-61) helped Suburban Club beat Vijay Sports Club by 22 runs via VJD Method. Batting first, Suburban Club post 376/9 at stumps. For Vijay Sports Club, Arsh Yadav bagged 3 for 79. In reply, chasing 347 to win in 78 overs, Vijay Sports Club were bowled out for 324.
Manish Kumar Sah (74) helped White Border Club post 291. Amrit Nandy was the pick of the bowlers bagging 2 for 23. In reply, Bantra Cricket Club were 10/1 at stumps on Day 1.
