East Bengal post 511/8 against BNR Recreation Club in First Division League

A dominant batting effort helped East Bengal Club post a challenging 511/8 in their first innings against BNR Recreation Club in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Thursday.
Writtick Chatterjee smashed a superb 160 while Satyaki Dutta (136), Amitoze Singh (50 not out) also impressed for East Bengal.
For BNR Recreation Club, Rahul Basfore bagged 5 for 115.
In reply, BNR Recreation Club were reduced to 153/6 in their first innings at stumps on Day 2. Balkesh Yadav bagged 3 for 48 while Ayan Bhattacharya took 2 for 29.
In the second match, Mohun Bagan Club managed to post 288/7 in their first innings at stumps. Avilin Ghosh (61) and Sarul Kanwar (60) were the pick of the batsmen.
For Barisha Sporting Club, Ankit Mishra bagged 4 for 67.
Earlier, Sumanta Gupta scored a fine 103 while Agniv Pan (66) and Lakshya Kochar (49) also made useful contributions as Barisha Sporting Club posted 312 in their first innings.
For Mohun Bagan Club, Akash Pandey bagged 4 for 78 while Arnab Nandi claimed 2 for 46.
For the second consecutive day, the other three matches were called off for the day due to heavy overnight rain.
