Md Saif bags 5 as Ananda Bazar Patrika Sporting Club win in CAB First Division Two-Day meet

Swagato Gangopadhyay (84) and Sanjib Kumar Sharma (72) were impressive with the bat while Md Saif (5-44) was superb with the ball as Ananda Bazar Patrika Sporting Club beat Sporting Union by 161 runs on the second day in the CAB First Division League Group B & C Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Wednesday.
Batting first, Ananda Bazar Patrika Sporting Club posted 294. For Sporting Union, Akhilesh Yadav bagged 5 for 109. In reply, Sporting Union were bowled out for 133.
In the second match, Rahul Chowdhury smashed a superb 203 off 175 balls while Jagmohan Prasad Gupta bagged 2 for 53 as Ballygunge United Club beat Police A.C by 136 runs. Batting first, Ballygunge United posted 491/8.
For Police A.C, Anish Prasad and Shashank Purohit bagged three wickets each. In reply, despite fine centuries by Rahul Pajiyar (112) and Wahid Mahfooz (105), Police AC fell short, scoring 355/7.
In the third match, Monohar Pukur Milan Samity beat Calcutta Police Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, Calcutta Police Club managed to post 232, thanks to Noman Manzoor (38) and Md Meraj Alam (36). For Monohar Pukur Milan Samity, Rahul Thakur bagged 4 for 38.
In reply, Mohohar Pukur Milan Samity chased it down scoring 235/4, thanks to Rahul Sen (78), Anmol Prasad (64).
