Sudip hits 106 as United Club win in CAB First Division Two-Day meet

Sudip Rakshit scored a match-winning 106 while Priyanshu Gautam bagged 6 for 127 as United Club beat Ballygunge United Club by 5 wickets on the second day in the CAB First Division League Group B & C Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Thursday. Batting first, Shubham Singh (61) and Debojyoti Ghosh (52) helped Ballygunge United Club post 280. In reply, United Club chased it down scoring 282/5.
In other matches, Jitender Shaw (7-105) was superb with the ball as Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club beat Wari by 20 runs. Swagato Gangopadhyay (79) helped Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club post 257. Ashutosh Kumar bagged 4 for 84. In reply, Wari were bowled out for 237.
Sk Fardeen Haque (3-68), Noman Manzoor (3-77), Abishek Yadav (54) and Rohit Pradhan (47) helped Calcutta Police Club beat Tollygunge Agragami by 2 wickets. Calcutta Police Club bundled out Tollygunge Agragami for just 190. In reply, Calcutta Police Club chased it down scoring 191/8
Anshuman Pandey smashed an unbeaten 153 along with Souren Roy (75) while Dipak Kumar Singh (3-94) and Sonu Kr Singh (3-70) were superb with the ball as Bhukailash Sporting Club beat Indian Boys Athletic Club by 5 runs. Batting first, Bhukailash Sporting Club posted 388/8. Abir Chatterjee bagged 4 for 90. In reply, despite impressive knocks by Pritam Ghosh (151) and Amit Singh (93), Indian Boys Athletic Club fell short and were bowled out for 383.
Dipanjan Mukherjee scored a fine 126 while Md Shoeb Khan bagged 4 for 96 as Netaji Subhas Institute beat Monohar Pukur Milan Samity by 25 runs. Batting first, Netaji Subhas Institute posted 368/8. For Monohar Pukur Milan Samity, Debargha Saha bagged 3 for 110. In reply, despite a fine 72 by Harjeet Singh, Monohar Pukur Milan Samity fell short, scoring 343/9.
Soumyajit Mandal (85), Vivek Singh (75, 4-58), Shubham Saha (74 not out) and Dip Gharami (62 not out) helped YMCA (Coll Br) beat Police A.C by 138 runs. Batting first, YMCA (Coll Br) posted 400/7. For Police A.C, Abishek Mishra bagged 3 for 114. In reply, despite a fine 86 by Mritunjoy Dutta, Police AC were bundled out for 262.
