Having completed the season successfully holy rituals were perfumed at the Eden Gardens.
The rituals are traditionally performed after the end of the season and before work for the next season
begins. "We do this ritual every year at the end of the season. This is to get the blessings of the God
Almighty." said Debabrata Das.
According to Sujan Mukherjee, Pitch Curator, this is done every year and part of Eden's tradition. "This is
done before work for the next season. It is done in Eden Gardens, Kalyani and Jadavpur Campus. It is to
make surevthat work at the grounds continue unhindered," he said.
The ritual began during the time of Jagmohan Dalmiva as the CAB President.
Incidentally Eden Gardens won the best ground award from BCCI after the conclusion of IPL10.
