East Bengal to play Barisha in final of the P. Sen Trophy
3rd July 2017
East Bengal go through to the final in the P. Sen Trophy after beating Mohun Bagan by the toss of coin today here at the Eden Gardens Kolkata, after the match was washed out due to rain.
“It was very disappointing. We had a good team that had every chance to make it through to the final. But you cannot help when nature is against you. We have played well through out the season and deserved a title.” said Mohun Bagan skipper Subhomoy Das.
On the other hand, East Bengal skipper Arnab Nandi said, “It was unfortunate that the match was decided on toss. But you have to accept when nature goes against you. We have played well through out the season and are confident for the final against Barisha.
The final will be played between East Bengal and Barisha at Eden Gardens on July 5.
