Anish hits 102 as Calcutta Rangers Club win in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Anish Mahapatra scored a fine 102 as Calcutta Rangers Club beat Amature CC by 6 wickets on Day 2 in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Wednesday. Dipankar Paik (65) helped Amature CC post 230. Papai Barai was the pick of the bowlers bagging 4 for 65. In reply, Calcutta Rangers Club chased it down scoring 231/4. Sachin Yadav bagged 3 for 87.
In other matches, Akshu Giri smashed a superb 253 off 226 balls along with Rajesh Mondal (150) while Meetul Sah bagged 5 for 64 as Sarat Samity beat Cossipore Club by 371 runs. Sarat Samity managed to post a massive 587/8. Ajey Prakash was the pick of the bowlers for Cossipore Club bagging 3 for 45. In reply, Cossipore Club were bundled out for 216.
Sudip Halder scored a brilliant unbeaten 200 off 221 balls as Howrah Union beat Bata Sporting Club by 116 runs. Howrah Union posted 368. For Bata Sporting Club, Ansh Poddar was the pick of the bowlers bagging 3 for 74. In reply, Bata Sporting Club fell short, scoring 252/9. Debangan Mondal and Mohd Shoaib bagged three wickets each.
Sachin Dubey (134, 4-63), Harsh Sharma (110), Aryan Hela (107), Salman Khan (101) and Chhotu Singh (4-52) helped Burnpur Cricket Club beat Satya Sandhi by 326 runs. Burnpur Cricket Club posted 560. The match between West Bengal Police Sports Club and Ariadaha Sporting Club was abandoned due to overnight rains. On Day 1, Nitya Nanda Maji (122) helped West Bengal Police Sports Club post 283. Manav Binakiya bagged 6 for 94. In reply, Ariadaha Sporting Club were 22/5 at stumps.
