Bengal reduce Chhattisgarh to 27/2 on Day 3 in Ranji Trophy

Bengal reduced Chhattisgarh to 27/2 in first innings at stumps on Day 3 in their third Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
After low light denied action for most of the day, the hosts made the most of the opportunity in the nine overs bowled to bag two quick wickets at the end.
As the third day's play began at 3:35, Chattisgarh lost both their openers to hand Bengal the advantage.
K Eknath (12) and Rishabh Tiwari (10) were back in the pavilion, with the visitors still trailing by 354 runs.
Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal and Karan Lal bagged a wicket each for Bengal.
Earlier, Bengal finished their first innings at 381/8 decl.
Abishek Porel hit his maiden first-class century, smashing a superb 114 while the veteran Anustup Majumdar also stepped up scoring a fine 71.
