Govind Rai (9-83) was superb with the ball as Greer Sporting Club bundled out West Bengal Police Sports Club for 219 on Day 1 in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Saturday. Nitya Nanda Maji scored a fine 106. In reply, Greer Sporting Club were 11/1 at stumps.
In other matches, Krishanu Bhattacharjee (107) helped Star Sporting Club post 293. Amjad Ali bagged 5 for 59. In reply, Ballygunge Sporting Club were 40 for no loss at stumps.
Abhay Kumar (102) and Mayank Raj (56) helped Salkia Friends Association post 318. Md Nasir bagged 5 for 91. In reply, Baranagar Sporting Club were 21 for no loss at stumps.
Sudip Halder (118) helped Howrah Union post 228. Papai Barai bagged 5 for 59. In reply, Calcutta Rangers Club were 119/1 at stumps, thanks to Liam Clayton Bain (66).
Kaushik Deb (5-26) and Ankit Yadav (3-23) helped YMCA (Chow) beat Suburban Club by 62 runs. Niloy Saha bagged 6 for 36.
Sukriti Jana (96) helped Howrah Sporting Club post 273. Gaurav Karmakar bagged 4 for 79. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting Club were 26/2 at stumps.
Ankurdip Biswas (4-36) and Aneef Islam (3-27) helped Bengal Sporting Club bundle out Ariadaha Sporting Club for 156. In reply, Bengal Sporting Club were 99/3 at stumps.
International Club bundled out Jorabagan Club for 176. Pushpendra Gupta (4-67), Dipam Ghosh (3-51) impressed. In reply, International Club were 140/2 at stumps, thanks to Ajoy Garai (86).
Bantra Cricket Club reduced Sarat Samity to 158/6 at stumps. Pritam Malita was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 26.
Dravid Dev Mondal (67) and Tripto Sur (63l helped City A.C post 195/6 at stumps against Calcutta Parsse Club. Prashant Yadav bagged 4 for 22.
