Bengal U-23 batters force a draw against Haryana in Col C K Nayudu Trophy

Bengal Under-23 batsmen held their nerves till the end to help team force a draw against Haryana on the fourth and final day in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy at the Bengal Cricket Academy in Kalyani on Wednesday.
However, Haryana took first innings lead.
Resuming the day, with 184 runs still behind, Bengal, following on in their second innings, batted sensibly to reach 166/7 when stumps were called on the final day.
Sayan Kumar Biswas (30) and Arin Roy (30) top-scored for the home side while Chandrahas Dash (27 not out) and Prayas Ray Barman (25) played fighting knocks at the end.
Earlier, Debopratim Halder (6-127) was impressive with the ball as the hosts managed to bowl out Haryana for 445 in their first innings. In reply, Bengal in their first innings, were bundled out for 202.
