Raman slams 130 as Kalighat bag 1st innings lead after
draw vs Paikpara Sporting in First Division League

Abhishek Raman smashed a superb 130 as Kalighat Club managed to take first innings lead after their CAB First Division League Group A match against Paikpara Sporting Club ended in a draw on Wednesday.
Earlier, Prashant Awasthi (138) helped Paikpara Sporting Club post 272 in their first innings. In reply, Kalighat Club went past their score to post 276/6 decl. Sourav Halder and Vishwajeet Mishra bagged three wickets each. While Paikpara Sporting Club in their second innings were 142/2 decl. when stumps were called on the third and final day. Agniva Mukhopadhyay scored a fine unbeaten 57.
In the second match, Aamir Gani (3-32), Rajkumar Pal (2-27) and Subham Sarkar (2-48) were superb with the ball as Bhawanipore Club defeated BNR Recreation Club by 10 wickets. Earlier, Aamir Gani scored a fine unbeaten 128 as Bhawanipore Club posted 300/7 decl. in their first innings after bowling out BNR Recreation Club for 106.
While, BNR Recreation Club in their second innings were bundled out for just 200 to hand a 7-run target to the opposition. Bhawanipore got the job done scoring 12 for no loss in the second innings.
In the third match, Mohammedan Sporting Club took first innings lead after their match against Barisha Sporting Club ended in a draw. Earlier, Gitimoy Basu scored a brilliant 128 as Mohammedan Sporting Club posted 307 in their first innings.
In reply, Barisha Sporting Club were bundled out for 165. Nilkantha Das bagged 5 for 42. Md. Sporting in their second innings scored 67/1 decl to hand a challenging target to Barisha. While Barisha, in their second innings were 32 for no loss when stumps were called.
