Prashant slams 138 for Paikpara Sporting Club in First Division League

Prashant Awasthi smashed a superb unbeaten 138 as Paikpara Sporting Club managed to post 272 in their first innings against Kalighat Club in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Tuesday. Ananta Saha (4-73) and Vikas Singh (3-63) were impressive with the ball. In reply, Kalighat Club were 150/2 at stumps on Day 2, thanks to Abhishek Raman (67 not out) and Abhishek Bose (57).
In the second match, Aamir Gani scored a fine unbeaten 128 as Bhawanipore Club posted 300/7 decl. in their first innings after bowling out BNR Recreation Club for 106. Arghya Sengupta and Tribrit Roy bagged two wickets each. BNR Recreation Club in their second innings were 16/1 at stumps, still trailing by 178 runs.
In the third match, Gitimoy Basu scored a brilliant 128 as Mohammedan Sporting Club posted 307 in their first innings. Poonish Mehta was the pick of the bowlers bagging 5 for 73. In reply, Barisha Sporting Club were 84/5 at stumps. Nilkantha Das bagged 4 for 32.
