Akhilesh bags 7 as Sporting Union win in CAB First Division Two-Day meet

Akhilesh Yadav (7-65) was superb with the ball as Sporting Union beat Police A.C by 31 runs on Day 2 in the CAB First Division League Group B & C Two-Day match on Sunday. Earlier, Anish Prasad (7-78) was brilliant with the ball as Police AC bundled out Sporting Union for 144. In reply, Police AC were bundled out for 113.
In other matches, Devendra Singh (140), Anup Samaddar (97) and Faizanul Rehman (5-53) helped as Netaji Subhas Institute beat Wari by 95 runs. Batting first, Netaji Subhas Institute posted 360. In reply, despite a fine 100 by Rahul Kundu, Wari were bundled out for 265.
Arjun Bhardwaj (111), Divesh Singh (108), Priyanshu Gautam (3-85) and Rishabh Chaudhary (3-143) helped United Club beat Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club by 21 runs. United Club posted 380/8. In reply, despite a fine 110 by Somen Chakraborty, Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club fell short managing only 359/9.
Anshuman Pandey (122), Yuvraj Gupta (90) and Sonu Kr Singh (5-88) helped Bhukailash Sporting Club beat Calcutta Police Club by 116 runs. Batting first, Bhukailash Sporting Club posted 414/9. In reply, Calcutta Police Club were bowled out for 298. Sayan Dey top-scored with 58. Noman Manzoor (5-126) and Yudhajit Guha (3-78) impressed.
Gaurav Kumar (102) helped YMCA (Coll Br) beat Tollygunge Agragami by 7 wickets. Rajwinder Singh and Vivek Singh bagged four wickets each as YMCA (Coll Br) bundled out Tollygunge Agragami for 192. In reply, YMCA (Coll Br) chased it down, scoring 196/3.
Bhoirob De Sarkar (121), Saikat Sadhukhan (88) and Yashovardhan Singh (4-78) helped Ballygunge United Club beat Indian Boys Athletic Club by 222 runs. Ballygunge United Club posted 435/9. Deepak Pandey and Biplab Roy Chowdhury bagged three wickets each. In reply, Indian Boys Athletic Club were bowled out for 213.
