Sambit slams 103 for Md. Sporting Club in First Division League

Sambit Roy smashed a superb 103 as Mohammedan Sporting Club posted 258 in their first innings on Day 2 in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Wednesday. Kamal Singh Bhairwa bagged 4 for 34. Earlier, Mohun Bagan Club were bundled out for 226 in their first innings. In their second innings, Mohun Bagan were 17 for no loss at stumps.
In the second match, Geet Puri (7-79) was impressive with the ball as Town Club bowled out Paikpara Sporting Club for 262 in their first innings. Amit Santra (75) and Dibya Majumder (52) impressed with the bat. In reply, Shakir Habib Gandhi (85 not out) and Akash Sarkar (65 not out) helped Town Club reach 192/2 in their first innings at stumps.
In the third match, Barisha Sporting Club took first inning lead after their match against Bhawanipore Club ended in a draw. Earlier, after posting 183 in their first innings, Barisha Sporting bundled out Bhawanipore Club for just 97 to grab first innings lead. Barisha, in their second innings scored 132/8 decl. In reply, Bhawanipore in their second innings were 79 for no loss at stumps on the third and third and final day.
In the fourth match, Abhishek Das (96), Mithilesh Das (84) and Amitoze Singh (82 not out) helped East Bengal reach 302/5 at stumps. Arshad Khan and Souvick Ghosh bagged two wickets each. Earlier, Shreyan Chakraborty (4-24) and Sumit Mohanta (3-38) helped East Bengal Club bundle out Calcutta Custom Club for just 181 in their first innings. Souvick top-scored with 49 runs.
In the fifth match, Abhishek Bose (78 not out) and Abhishek Raman (52) helped Kalighat Club reach 186/1 in their first innings at stumps on Day 2. Earlier, Kalighat Club bowled out BNR Recreation Club for 289 in their first innings. Avinash Kumar scored a fine 75. Vikas Singh bagged 4 for 69 while B Amit took 3 for 92.
