Anas' fighting unbeaten 93 powers St Johns
Public School to 230 in Mayor’s Cup final

Tailender Anas Alam smashed a fighting unbeaten 93 off 127 balls as St Johns Public School managed to post 230 against Ratnakar North Point School in the final of the Mayor’s Cup Inter School tournament at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.
In a spot of bother at 78/7, Anas, coming to bat at No.10, played a memorable knock to put his team in a fighting position.
In reply, Ratnakar North Point School were 4/1 at stumps on Day 1.
For Ratnakar North Point School, Raunav Hazra and Hriddhi Nag Chowdhury bagged three wickets each.
Earlier, put into bat, St Johns Public School batters were put to a stern test as they were 7 down for just 78.
However, a valiant effort by Anas, which saw him smash 10 boundaries and one six, put his team in a fighting position.
