Avinash (127) impress in First Division League

Shakir Habib Gandhi smashed a brilliant 209 as Town Club posted a massive 624/8 in their first innings in the CAB First Division League Group A match on Monday. For BNR Recreation Club, Argha Sengupta (3-71) and Anirban Gupta (3-108) were the pick of the bowlers. In reply, leading from the front, Avinash Kumar scored a fine 127 off 157 balls as BNR Recreation Club were 223/3 at stumps in their first innings on Day 2.
In the second match, Suvankar Bal (91 not out), Avilin Ghosh (84 not out) and Ankur Paul (50) helped Mohun Bagan Club reach 281/3 at stumps on Day 1 in their first innings. For Bhawanipore Club, Ravi Kumar and Deepak Kumar bagged a wicket each.
In the third match, Shantanu (67 not out), Akash Shukla (65) and Gulzar Singh (51) helped Tapan Memorial Club post 268/6 in their first innings at stumps. For Paikpara Sporting Club, Vishwajeet Mishra, Manish Sharma and Sourav Halder bagged two wickets each.
In the fourth match, Kalighat Club managed to reach 114/3 at stumps on Day 1 in their first innings, thanks to Abhishek Bose (52). For Barisha Sporting Club, Sandipan, Sarasij Mukherjee and Debopratim Halder bagged a wicket each.
In the fifth match, Shashank Singh (73), Satyaki Dutta (60) and Arpan De (51 not out) helped East Bengal Club reach 297/8 at stumps on Day 1 in their first innings. For Md. Sporting Club, Nitin Verma (3-43) was the pick of the bowlers.
