Soham (118), Akshay (5-52) help Aryan Club win in CAB First Division Two-Day meet

Soham Ghosh smashed a brilliant unbeaten 118 while Akshay Sain (5-52) was superb with the ball as Aryan Club beat Shibpur Institute by 49 runs on Day 2 in the CAB First Division League Group B & C Two-Day match on Saturday. Batting first, Aryan Club posted 272. Karan Singh, Aniket Singh and Sandeep Mittal bagged two wickets each. In reply, Shibpur Institute were bowled out for 223.
In other matches, Shuvam Dey scored a superb 150 while Arun Kumar Chaurasiya bagged 3 for 45 as Kidderpore Sporting Club defeated Dalhousie AC by 255 runs. Kidderpore posted 408/8. In reply, Dalhousie A.C were bowled out for 153.
Sourav K Gouda scored a fine 100 while Aman Rawat bagged 4 for 82 as Dakshin Kolkata Sansad defeated Shambazar Club by 41 runs. Dakshin Kolkata Sansad posted 325/9. In reply, Shambazar Club were bowled out for 284.
Rajasthan Club beat Kolkata Union Sporting Club by 32 runs. Sharnik Banerjee (88) helped Rajasthan Club post 305/9. In reply, despite a fine 105 by Somen Mahanti, Kolkata Union Sporting Club fell short scoring 273.
Kumartuli Institute beat E.RLY.Sporting Association by 37 runs. Sandeep Gupta (82) helped Kumartuli Institute post 308. In reply, E.RLY.Sporting Association were bowled out for 271. Harsh Dev Gautam bagged five wickets.
