Ishan bags 4 as Mohun Bagan take 1st innings lead after
draw against East Bengal in First Div League

Ishan Porel (4-43), Avilin Ghosh (3-30) and Rohit Kumar (2-48) were impressive with the ball as Mohun Bagan bagged first innings lead against East Bengal after their CAB First Division League Group A match at the Eden Gardens ended in a draw on Friday.
After bowling out East Bengal for 174 in their first innings, Mohun Bagan managed to score 189 to take a vital first innings lead. East Bengal, in their second innings, were bundled out for 169. Sourav Paul scored a fine 58. While Mohun Bagan, in their second innings, were 94/1 at stumps on the final day.
In the second match, Dip Chatterjee smashed a superb 153 while Nitin Verma (4-39, 3-42) bagged seven wickets in the match as Mohammedan Sporting Club defeated BNR Recreation Club by 7 wickets.
Earlier, after bowling out BNR Recreation Club for 181 in their first innings, Mohammedan Sporting Club posted 391/7 decl. In their second innings, BNR Recreation were bundled out for 239. Nilkantha Das and Vaibhav Yadav bagged three wickets each. Chasing a small target, Md Sporting got the job done in the second innings, scoring 33/3.
In the third match, Pradipta Pramanik (5-48, 5-20) bagged an impressive 10 wickets in the match as Bhawanipore Club defeated Paikpara Sporting Club by 7 wickets.
Chasing 91 to win on the third and final day, Bhawanipore went over the line comfortably, scoring 91/3. Earlier, after bowling out Paikpara for 216 in their first innings, Bhawanipore managed to score 208. However, Paikpara, in their second innings, were bundled out for just 82 to hand a 91-run target to Bhawanipore.
In the fourth match, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-25, 3-103) was excellent with the ball as Calcutta Custom Club defeated Barisha Sporting Club by 6 wickets.
Earlier, Barisha Sporting Club finished their first innings at 82/9 decl. In reply, Calcutta Custom Club posted 144. While Barisha, in their second innings, scored 250, thanks to Karan Lal (80 not out). Chasing a tricky target, Calcutta Custom went over the line comfortably, scoring 201/4. Mohit Roy (61) and Saurabh Singh (58) were the pick of the batsmen.
In the fifth match, Tapan Memorial Club’s Prayas Ray Barman smashed a brilliant unbeaten 119 off 206 balls, but it was not enough at the end as Kalighat Club took first innings lead after their match ended in a draw.
Earlier, after posting 467/7 in their first innings, Kalighat bowled out Tapan Memorial Club for 324. Ravi Kant Singh bagged three wickets. Kalighat, in their second innings, were 125/1 decl at stumps on the final day.
