Sudip (165), Brahmjot (123) hit tons for Howrah Union
in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Two brilliant centuries by Sudip Halder (165) and Brahmjot Singh (123) were not enough at the end as Howrah Union went down to White Border Club by 32 runs on Day 2 in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Wednesday. Batting first, Kazi Md Safin (93) helped White Border post a massive 461/8. In reply, Howrah Union fell short of the target scoring 429/8.
In other matches, Amrit Nandy smashed a brilliant 250 off 183 balls along with Sagnik Dogra (122) as Bantra Cricket Club defeated Cossipore Club by 282 runs. Batting first, Bantra Cricket Club posted a massive 548/6. Rajib Chakraborty (5-175) was impressive with the ball. In reply, Cossipore Club were bowled out for 266. Pritam Malita and Supratim Saha bagged three wickets each.
Debangshu Chakraborty (64) and Dilip Singh (7-84) helped Bani Niketan Sporting Club beat Calcutta Rangers Club by 1 wicket. Batting first, Calcutta Rangers Club posted 246. In reply, Bani Niketan Sporting Club chased it down scoring 250/9.
Ankit Singh (111) and Sourav Dutta Jr (5-35) helped Alipore Sporting Club beat City A.C by 203 runs. Batting first, Alipore Sporting posted 341. In reply, City AC were bundled out for 138.
Md Imran Alam scored a fine 176 as Burnpur Cricket Club defeated WB Association of the Deaf by 376 runs. Batting first, Burnpur Cricket Club managed to post a massive 576/8. In reply, WB Association of the Deaf were bowled out for 200. Harsh Sharma bagged two wickets.
Sunny Yadav scored a fighting 90 while Hrishav Sil bagged 5 for 38 as Calcutta University Institute beat Calcutta Cricket Club by 15 runs. Batting first, Calcutta University Institute posted 201. Kamalesh Mitra and Santanu Das bagged three wickets each. In reply, Calcutta Cricket Club were bundled out for 186.
Suraj Roy (68, 3-47) helped Sahapur Sporting Club beat Abasar by 2 wickets. Batting first, Abasar managed to score 257, thanks to Shanu Qureshi (49). In reply, Sahapur Sporting Club chased it down, scoring 261/8.
Avijit Kumar Mahato (56) and Om Kumar Das (4-50) helped Sarat Samity beat Narkeldanga Sir Gurudas Institute by 3 wickets. Batting first, Sayantan Mondal (58) helped Narkeldanga Sir Gurudas Institute post 244. In reply, Sarat Samity chased it down, scoring 247/7.
