Rohit bags 4 as Mohun Bagan bowl out East Bengal for 174 in First Division League

Rohit Kumar (4-52) was superb with the ball as Mohun Bagan bundled out East Bengal for just 174 in their first innings on Day 1 in the high-octane CAB First Division League Group A match at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Besides Rohit, Sayan Shekhar Mandal (2-22) and Ishan Porel (2-57) were the pick of the bowlers. For East Bengal, Amitoze Singh top-scored with 49 runs. In reply, Mohun Bagan were 35 for no loss at stumps.
In the day’s second match, Pradipta Pramanik (5-48) was excellent with the ball as Bhawanipore Club bowled out Paikpara Sporting Club for 216 in their first innings. Amit Santra top-scored with 64 runs. In reply, Bhawanipore Club were 23/1 at stumps.
In the day’s third match, Nitin Verma (4-39) and Sagen Murmu (3-51) helped Mohammedan Sporting Club bowl out BNR Recreation Club for 181 in their first innings. Abhijeet Bhagat top-scored with 49 runs. In reply, Md. Sporting Club were 70/4 at stumps. Argha Sengupta bagged three wickets.
In the day’s fourth match, Calcutta Custom Club’s Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-25) and Pintu (3-37) were impressive with the ball as Barisha Sporting Club finished their first innings at 82/9 decl. In reply, Calcutta Custom Club were 81/3 at stumps.
In the day’s fifth match, Kaushik Ghosh (90 not out) and Abhishek Raman (68) batted superbly as Kalighat Club managed to post 274/3 in their first innings at stumps. For Tapan Memorial Club, Prayas Ray Barman bagged two wickets.
