Showmajit hits 101, bags 7 for Albert Sporting Club
in CAB Second Division Two-Day meet

Showmajit Khaskel scored a brilliant unbeaten 101 followed by a seven-wicket haul as Albert Sporting Club outclassed Balak Sangha by 209 runs in the CAB Second Division Two-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Wednesday.
Batting first, Ravi Kumar (125) and Showmajit helped Albert Sporting Club post 360 in 84.3 overs. Souvik Chatterjee bagged three wickets. In reply, Balak Sangha were bundled out for just 151.
In other matches, Pradunya Sarkar (8-29) was superb with the ball as Behala Friends Union beat Mohun Lal Club by 235 runs. Behala Friends Union posted 307, thanks to Sandipan Dey (86). In reply, Mohun Lal Club were bundled out for 72 in 28.2 overs.
Rohit (7-49) was impressive with the ball as Basdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association beat Gymkhana by 100 runs. Batting first, Basdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association posted 272, thanks to Shantanu Chowdhury (58). Shashi Shankar Singh bagged four wickets. In reply, Gymkhana were bundled out for 172.
Amit Biswas scored a fine 75 as Calcutta Cricket Club beat Friends Sporting Union by 6 wickets. Batting first, Friends Sporting Union posted 192, thanks to Abhranil Ghosh (84). Pranab Prasad bagged five wickets. In reply, Calcutta Cricket Club chased it down, scoring 195/4 in 35.3 overs.
Ranjan Saha bagged four wickets as Cricket Club of Bhawanipur beat Cricket Club of Dhakuria by 5 wickets. Batting first, Cricket Club of Dhakuria were bundled out for 177. In reply, Cricket Club of Bhawanipur chased it down, scoring 178/5 in 45.3 overs.
